Like most businesses, for new and used car lots it all comes down to one thing: sales. It is the single most important aspect of running a dealer. The bottom line is that if your dealer management system does not help your sales it is not very useful. There are a few ways of improving dealer sales. Our sales screens are very easy to use. The required information is organized in 4 categories: buyer information, sale information, trade information (if there is one) and payment information. Most of the fields are optional. Carsinia allows you to enter a sale and complete any missing information later on.

In sale contract you can enter sale price, date, costs and fees (many fees and costs can be entered - for details please contact us.), tax information, service contract information, temporary permit information, GAP, warranty information (based on any warranties you define in administration panel) and any notes you may have regarding this sale. It may look detailed but most fields are optional and this allows us to generate detailed profitability reports.

The payment information changes slightly when there is a trade vehicle. In general, trade vehicle counts as a payment except for cases when the owner owes more than the trade sales price (a condition called being upside-down). Upside-down trade vehicles are handled with ease and clarity. When a trade vehicle is entered, it is created as a separate vehicle in the system and tied to the sold vehicle as a trade. The customer payment can be handled in 4 ways: cash, check, credit card or loan. If trade has a negative balance, it is typically paid through the loan (but can be paid through other channels as well).

Post sale process includes temporary permit and registration and communications with customer regarding these issues. You can track all this information in vehicle registration tab (the date registration was sent to DMV, received from DMV, license plate, the date it was sent to the customer, etc.). A major part of sales is CRM (Customer Relationship Management). You want your sales people to enter their communication to this system so that you can track efficiency and evaluate performance.
